Bucks @ Bulls (MIL -4.5, 220.5)

JA CAVALIER REVIEWS, Bucks @ Bulls 4/30/21

You hate to see an NBA star go down with an injury, but the status of Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo will definitely have an impact on tonight’s game at Chicago.

The Greek Freak left last night’s Bucks game against Houston after just 46 seconds with ankle injury. He is questionable for tonight. Antetokounmpo was already dealing with a sprained ankle when he reaggravated the injury last night.

Without their star, the Bucks fell apart and lost to Houston 143-136. You can bet Milwaukee head coach Mike Budenholzer is addressing the defense ahead of tonight’s game.

Prior to last night’s defensive disaster, the Bucks had given up an average of 103 points per game in their previous three. In all three of those games, the total went Under.

Chicago is no stranger to totals going Under. The Bulls are coming off a 113-94 loss to the Knicks which was one of their lowest scoring totals of the season.

The Bulls have been playing without their leading scorer Zach LaVine for the better part of two weeks due to health and safety protocols. That has hampered their ability to score. The Bulls average 111 points per game for the season, but they have only hit their average once in the past ten games.

Milwaukee, the NBA’s top scoring team, is likely to regress from last night. In each of the last two occasions when the Bucks scored at least 130 points, the next game’s total went Under. The Bucks also have trended toward the Under on the road. The Under has hit in five of the last seven Bucks road games.

The total has gone Under in nine of the Bulls last 11 home games and the Under has hit in six of the last eight Bucks-Bulls games. With Giannis not at 100 percent or out, expect better defense from Milwaukee and the total to go Under.
