Cavaliers @ Hornets (CHR -1, 209)

The lowest total on the board tonight is in Charlotte where the Hornets play host to Cleveland. Both teams enter tonight’s game having faced Chicago in their previous game.

The Cavs fared a little better than Charlotte winning 121-105 on Wednesday night as Collin Sexton scored 30 points and Darius Garland added 25.

Tonight’s game will be the third meeting of the season between the two teams. Cleveland won the previous game just nine days ago, 103-90. It was Taurean Prince who led the Cavs scoring 25 points. It should be noted that the total went well Under the posted total of 210.5.

The two teams enter tonight’s game facing a total of 209. Don’t let the number scare you. Cleveland is the lowest-scoring team in the NBA at 104.1 points per game. Charlotte ranks 23rd averaging 109.7 per game, and recently the Hornets have struggled.

In their past seven games, the Hornets have hit their scoring average just once and that was against Brooklyn, one of the top two scoring teams in the league. As a result, the total went Under in six of those seven games and two of the totals were less than 210. The Hornets have managed just 97 and 91 points in their last two games. The second of those games was a 108-91 loss to Chicago last night.

Both teams trend toward the Under which is 32-26 in Hornets’ games and 31-25-2 in Cav’s games. Charlotte’s last five home games have resulted in a total that has gone Under and the Under is 18-8 in all Hornets’ home games this season.

With two teams that struggle to score, tonight’s game should go much like the game they played just nine days ago. The low number is an indicator. Play the Under tonight.
