THUNDER VS CELTICS

Boston hosts Oklahoma City tonight having lost two straight. The Thunder haven’t won a game in a month. That’s right. OKC has lost 14 straight and a loss tonight would tie a franchise record for consecutive losses.

How the Thunder pull out a road win in Boston tonight is beyond anyone’s guess. OKC has one of the worst offenses in the league. The Thunder average 105.3 points per game, 28th in the NBA.

The offense was so bad last night that OKC managed just 90 points in a 121-90 loss to Philadelphia. The 76ers led from start to finish and led by as many as 37 in the fourth quarter. Not surprisingly, last night’s total went Under (219).

OKC will continue to play without leading scorer Shia Gilgeous-Alexander and Luguentz Dort, who scores 14.0 points a game, is listed as questionable. That’s not good for an already poor offense.

On the other end, Boston will be without Kemba Walker and Jayson Tatum tonight. Tatum is the Celtics leading scorer at 25.7 points a game and Walker averages 18.2. In Boston’s last four games, the Celtics have come nowhere near their season scoring average of 111.9.

When you add it all up, you get the perfect conditions for an Under. Oklahoma City has trouble putting up points and will be without its leading scorer. Four of their last six games have resulted in the total going Under.

For Boston, which is also 10th in points allowed per game, the total has gone Under in 11 of the last 16 games. And, they will play without two of their three top scorers.

The Thunder and Celtics played on March 27. Boston was a 6.5-point favorite and won 111-94. The total was set at 216.5. Just like that game, tonight’s game is going Under.
