Warriors vs TWolves 4/29/21

Tonight’s Warriors-Timberwolves matchup is

an interesting one from a unique standpoint.

Golden State has been rooting for the T-Wolves

to win, which they have done recently winning

three games in a row including an impressive two

in a row over Utah.

If Minnesota finishes outside of the top three in

the lottery, the Warriors get the T-Wolves’ first-

round pick this year. Tonight though, the Warriors

will not be rooting for Minnesota.

Instead, Stephen Curry and company will be

attempting to sweep the season series. The Warriors

took two from Minnesota earlier this season winning

130-108 and 123-111 in consecutive games back near

the end of January.

In both games, the total went Over. Both totals were

less than 230 (226.5 and 229), but tonight the game total

has been set at 234.5

In those first two games this season, Karl-Anthony Towns

and D’Angelo Russell, the T-Wolves top two leading

scorers, did not play. Minnesota’s leading scorer in those

two games was Malik Beasley who, ironically, is out with

a hamstring injury.

Towns, who averages 25.3 points a game, and Russell,

who scores 21.7, team with rookie Anthony Edwards

(18.7 ppg) to form a very formidable scoring trio.

For the Warriors, it’s Curry that leads the way with 26 points

a game. Surprisingly, neither the Warriors nor the T-Wolves

are in the top-15 in scoring. But, both teams are very good

at giving up points. Golden State is 21st in points allowed

per game (113.4) and Minnesota is 28th (117.5).

Despite being poor defensively, tonight’s total is just too

high. The totals in Minnesota’s last three games were 234,

226, and 221. All three games went Under.

The total in Golden State’s last five games has gone Under

four times. In their last ten games, the Warriors have had

four Overs. The highest total was 228.

With tonight’s total at 234.5, play the Under.
