Even not being a leaf fan, I am happy to see this roster start to click and a big part of this is due to Auston Matthews who has been red hot. However from a betting perspective the lines are not favorable to bet on Matthews due to his hot streak. We are looking elsewhere for some free prop money tonight. Tyler Bertuzzi had his best performance as a leaf the other night scoring a hat trick and is finally starting to answer the bell for the Leafs. Keefer has really made some shuffling in Toronto's lineup where Tavares has found himself on the second PP and a third line center.
I think it was time for the talk for Tavares from the coaching staff explaining to him that he has a pivotal part on this team and if they want to go deep in the playoffs they need more depth. Tavares is a leader on this team and should be fine with the "demotion" to understand that it will improve the team overall.
With that said, Bertuzzi is going to get more playing time and the Golden Knights are averaging almost 8 mins/game in the box the red hot PP for TOR should find themselves with a few opportunities in this game. After Bertuzzi's impressive performance the other night, I feel like the PP is going to be comfortable letting Bertuzzi shoot the puck as key defenders will be focusing on Matthews and Marner.
