Goaltending has been a question mark for both these teams to date as there has been alot of inconsistencies from both sides. With Carter Hart likely to never play in the NHL again, it has opened up a big opportunity for Sam Ersson. However, even thought PHI has won 5/6 they are still giving up alot of goals. Fortunately for PHI the goals are coming in plentiful at the moment but the problem is, PHI has to score 4 or 5 everynight to win. This isnt sustainable as history shows us.
NJ has their own world of woes between the pipes but Daws has been better of late. The struggle with this game is the inconsistencies on both back ends. Daws actually has a lower GAA than Vanecek who was supposed to be their No.1 guy.
With the game being outdoors I am leaning on the under as both teams are going to be up and ready to go for this one. Likely going to be 50k plus fans with alot of fans supporting both teams because of the location. Im expecting to see the goalies step up here in this spot and a much tighter checking game. The last 3/4 outdoor games have also cashed the UNDER.
