BENGALS @ BRONCOS 9/29/25
On Monday night, the host Denver Broncos and the Cincinnati Bengals will both be aiming for a rebound victory. The Bengals (2-1) travel to Denver to play a Broncos team fresh off a 23–20 road loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in a rematch of one of the 2024 season's more memorable games.
Before losing to Indianapolis 29-28 and the Chargers on the road in their last two games, Denver (1-2) defeated the Tennessee Titans 20-12 in their season opener. In both games, the Broncos lost on field goals in the final seconds and blew fourth-quarter leads.
Bo Nix, a second-year quarterback for Denver, has received criticism for his play during the first three weeks, including a couple of overthrows in last week's game. Maybe a return to his rookie form will occur when he sees the Bengals again.
Last year in Week 17, when Denver traveled to Cincinnati, Nix forced overtime with a late touchdown pass to Marvin Mims Jr. The Bengals would rally to win that game and keep their playoff hopes alive. Nix would also rally and go on to hit 26-of-29 passes and four touchdowns against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 18. That victory gave the Broncos the final wild card spot over the Bengals.
With a quarterback rating of 83.4 this season, Nix is tied for 22nd place among eligible players. In three weeks, he has five touchdowns and three interceptions.
For quarterback Jake Browning of the Bengals, the situation has been even more difficult. The backup who replaced Joe Burrow, has been letting the ball slip away at a startling rate. Although Browning led the Bengals to a thrilling victory over Jacksonville in Week 2, he has thrown five interceptions in six quarters of action. He threw two interceptions last week, one of which was good for a Minnesota score, as the Bengals lost 48-10 on the road, the most lopsided loss in team history. Cincinnati lost three of their five fumbles against Minnesota and committed five turnovers, including four in the first half.
Cincinnati head coach Zac Taylor stated, "We need to fundamentally clean up some stuff and be better with our ball security." "This was a single defeat. We have seventeen games. As far as our preparation this week goes, we can't let this game beat us twice.
Taylor went on, "What the negativity is going to be, that exists," "We made that up to ourselves. We need to do a fantastic job of fighting together. Once more, if we wish to establish our identity, we have an incredible stage to perform on next week."
Noah Fant, a tight end for the Bengals, missed all of practice due to a concussion and was ruled out on Saturday. Cam Taylor-Britt, a cornerback, will return from a one-game absence due to a hamstring injury, while defensive end Shemar Stewart (ankle) will miss his second consecutive game.
Marvin Mims Jr. (hip), a limited participant on Saturday, is listed as questionable for the Broncos..

TROY FRANKLIN OVER 43.5 RECEIVING YARDS
Franklin averages 47 receiving yards per game this season. Franklin was held to 8 yards last week by a very good Chargers secondary. He went Over this number in each of the first two games of the season. Cincinnati has allowed 34 pass attempts per game since the beginning of last season. That’s 8th-most in the NFL. Cincy also ranks 18th in WR receiving yards. Franklin should get enough opportunities and be able to exploit Cincy’s pass defense.
