Herbert has had a pretty solid season for the Chargers. The big issue though is that Herbert has spent most of the season running for his life. The loss of Joe Alt was huge and the Chargers have used over 30 different combinations of starting offensive linemen this year.
As a result, Herbert has been sacked 54 times this season. He got last week off, but backup Trey Lance was sacked six times. Today, Herbert goes up against a pretty solid New England defense. The Patriots rank ninth against the pass. They don't record a ton of sacks, but they can put enough pressure on Herbert to give him fits.
Herbert has thrown at least one interception in 5 of the last 6 games in which he played. For the season, he threw at least one pick in 11 of 16 games. I like the Patriots to force at least one today.
