First, the game total opened at 43.5 and was bet down to 40.5. It makes sense. These are two very physical teams that play a lot of close, low-scoring games. Over their past 10 meetings, the two teams have averaged 35.6 points per game.
The Ravens will want to run the football. Pittsburgh will likely want to do the same. That will bleed the clock and shorten the game. Right after halftime, we should see both teams come out and continue the battle.
Both of these head coaches are great at making halftime adjustments. Nine of the 16 third quarters have gone Under the total for Pittsburgh this season. It's not quite the number from last year, but Mike Tomlin is the master of making halftime defensive adjustments. With TJ Watt back in the lineup, look for Pittsburgh's defense to play well at home.
Pittsburgh only gives up 3.8 points in the third quarter. Over its last three games, the Ravens have only given up 4.3.
