We all know about the 49ers' injuries. On offense it's Purdy, Jennings, Aiyuk, Kittle, and Pearsall. But, don't forget about LG Ben Bartch, who has been on injured reserve or backup LT Spencer Burford who has started games for San Francisco.
Bottom line...San Francisco is going to struggle on offense. It's not just the injuries. It's the fact that they'll play against a Rams defense that is ranked in the top 10 against the run, the pass, and in scoring defense.
This is a short week, which tends to work towards the Under in Thursday night games. It's also a divisional game. Divisional opponents are very familiar with one another and that tends to lead games Under the total as well. Four of the Niners last five division games have gone Under the game total.
The Rams typically start slow in games and they could be without starting RT Rob Havenstein and TE Tyler Higbee, both of whom are doubtful for tonight. The Niners will struggle all night and especially early as they try to navigate an offense full of backups at most positions.
The first half Under has cashed in all four San Francisco games this season and in 3 of the Rams 4 games. We should see a lower-scoring first half in what should end up a relatively low-scoring game.
