TAMPA BAY @ DETROIT (DET -5.5, 52.5)
BAKER MAYFIELD OVER 1.5 TD PASSES
There are a bunch of injuries heading into tonight's game at Ford Field in Detroit. They will have a huge impact on the outcomes of tonight's game. Tampa Bay has been battling injuries since the start of the season.
The Bucs will be without WRs Chris Godwin and Jalen McMillan. Rookie Emeka Egbuka is listed as questionable as is Mike Evans, but he is expected to play. Tampa Bay will also be without G Luke Haggard and OT Luke Goedeke. That's the right side of the Bucs offensive line.
For the Lions, they will not have any of their starting secondary and the fifth guy, Avonte Maddox who plays the nickel, is also out. It will be a secondary full of backups tonight for Detroit.
Tampa Bay will have Sterling Shepard, Kam Johnson, and Tez Johnson at the wide receivers and, if they are lucky, Evans will play as well. Regardless, QB Baker Mayfield just continues to do what he does. Mayfield has thrown for at least two TD passes in 5 of 6 games this season.
If you go back to the beginning of last season, Mayfield has thrown two TD passes or more in 18 of 24 games. That's 75 percent and with or without some of key playmakers, Mayfield comes through against a shorthanded Detroit defense.
