BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE 25+ POINTS
The big talk going into tonight's game is all of the injury issues for the Lions. They won't have Amon-Re St. Brown or TE Sam LaPorta. The bigger issue is the offensive line. Taylor Decker and Penei Sewell, the two starting OTs, did not practice on Tuesday. They are both listed as questionable as is C Graham Glasgow and LG Kayode Awosika.
Still, the game total is 54.5 and it opened at 48.5. Points are expected. The Cowboys defense leaves a lot to be desired. They allow the most TD passes per game of any team in the NFL this season. The Cowboys pass defense ranks 30th in the league. The run defense is 20th.
Detroit ranks fourth in rushing offense and seventh in passing which has led to the Lions averaging 29.2 points per game. That number is third in the NFL. Even without some of their key weapons, the Lions offense should still be able to score on a so-so Cowboys defense.
On the other end, Detroit will be missing Terrion Arnold and Kerby Joseph from the secondary. Brian Branch is questionable and if he plays he's probably not 100 percent. The Lions actually give up the second-most passing TDs to WRs (Dallas is No. 1).
The Cowboys are No. 2 in scoring averaging 29.3 points per game. They've scored 25 or more in 7 of their 12 games this season. Detroit has done it six times. If you like the Over, this might be the better way to play it. You can get it at DraftKings for +163.
