Tonight's game total suggests a lot of points in tonight's game. That's not surprising since we have two of the highest-scoring teams in the NFL squaring off. Baltimore has scored at least 40 points in both of its games this season and Detroit is coming off a win over Chicago in which they scored 52 points.
Since the beginning of the 2023 season, both Detroit and Baltimore have averaged over 30 points per game. Both have very capable quarterbacks - Lamar Jackson of Baltimore and Detroit's Jared Goff. Tonight's free pick focuses on Goff.
The Baltimore pass defense is not the greatest. In fact, after two games, the Ravens rank dead last in pass defense. It's no fluke either. Baltimore finished the 2024 season ranked No. 27 in pass defense.
With Goff completing a ridiculous 81 percent of his passing attempts this season, he should have success tonight. That's why I like his passing TD prop. Goff threw 5 touchdown passes last week against Chicago. I don't expect he'll do that again, but he has thrown at least 2 TD passes in 13 of his last 19 games.
