The Washington Commanders now travel west to Arizona to face Kyler Murray and the Cardinals, following a stunning performance on Monday night against Cincinnati.

Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels' five years of college experience is showing, and so far in his young career he looks the best QB in the draft by a long shot. Daniels was 21-23, throwing for 254 yards and two touchdowns, while completing 91% of his passes. That’s almost unheard of, and marks a new record for completion percentage by a rookie.

Not only that, but Daniels has now led two games in three starts, where his team has scored on every single possession excluding a kneel down. A stat on X read that Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning and Patrick Mahomes COMBINED, have only ever done that twice in their entire careers. That’s insanity, and testament to how effective the young QB has been so far in Washington.

Jayden Daniels has quickly found his connection with Terry McLaurin too, who has been one of the most dependable receivers in football for several years. Scary Terry had four catches for 100 yards and a touchdown in the win over the Bengals, including a 50+ yard throw through the air that found him just a couple of yards short of the goal line.

Washington is converting 45% of their third downs (6th in the NFL), scoring 26.3 points per game (5th), and posting 360 yards per game (6th). Following Monday Night's game, Jayden Daniels' average 80% completion percentage puts him number one in the NFL, a wild stat for a young rookie.

Arizona had their breakout game in Week 2, including a stunning first half performance from rookie receiver Marvin Harrison, posting two touchdowns on back to back drives against the Rams. Arizona put up 41 in that game, and walked over the Rams comfortably, before heading into a matchup with the Lions in Week 3.

Detroit kept the Cardinals quiet on the ground, nullifying James Conner, who had just 17 yards on nine carries. By forcing the game into Kyler Murray’s hands, the Lions threw Arizona off balance, and they fell short with just 13 points.

Marvin Harrison Jr and Kyler Murray’s connection was still on display though, with the rookie catching the Cardinals only touchdown of the game on a crossing route to the left side. Both he and Michael Wilson posted 64 yards a piece, and the receiver room certainly looks vastly improved already with the MHJ out on the field.

Tight end Trey McBride is in concussion protocol though, and Arizona had already lost offensive tackle Jonah Williams to injury reserve in Week 1. They’re a little banged up, but this should be a thriller between two exciting quarterbacks on Sunday afternoon.
