NFL ODDS, NFL PREDICTIONS, NFL PREVIEWS

COMMANDERS @ CHIEFS 10/27/25
The Kansas City Chiefs are heating up at the right time. As the teams get ready for a Monday night game in Kansas City tonight, that's bad news for the NFL in general and the reeling Washington Commanders in particular.
With two consecutive victories, the Chiefs (4-3) are back in the thick of the AFC West race going into Week 8. KC is just one game behind the Denver Broncos.
The Commanders (3-4) are currently two games behind the Philadelphia Eagles in third place in the NFC East after suffering two consecutive losses. For the first time since losing in Week 1 last season, Washington is below .500.
Star quarterback Jayden Daniels will not play for Washington because he strained his right hamstring during last Sunday's 44–22 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel, the starting wide receivers, will both be active, but Daniels will miss his third game of the eight games this season.
The Chiefs have scored 28 points or more in each of their last four games, including a 31-0 thumping of the Raiders last Sunday, after starting the season with 38 points overall in losses to the Chargers and Eagles.
In his last four games, Patrick Mahomes has thrown for 1,131 yards, 11 touchdown passes, and one interception. He also threw for three touchdowns in each of the previous two victories. Rashee Rice, a wide receiver who played his first regular-season game after being suspended, had a team-high seven receptions for 42 yards and two touchdowns against Las Vegas.
The Chiefs are up against a 27th-ranked Commanders defense that gives up 364.3 yards per game, including 238.3 (ranked 25th) through the air. Washington gave up 409 yards against Dallas. As Week 8 begins, Washington is tied for second-worst in the league with just three takeaways. The Commanders are also having trouble getting off the field on third down and stopping big plays.
But, the top three defensive ends are out for the Commanders tonight. They put Dorance Armstrong (knee) on injured reserve this week, joining Javontae Jean-Baptiste (pectoral) and Deatrich Wise (quadriceps). Sam Cosmi, the starting guard (back), did not work out on Thursday.
The Raiders were limited to three first downs and 95 yards of offense by the Chiefs. With an average of 280.3 yards per game going into Week 8, the Kansas City defense was fifth in the NFL.
After replacing Daniels in two games earlier this season, Marcus Mariota, the quarterback for Washington, gets his third start. With almost 12 minutes remaining in the third quarter on Sunday, Mariota took Daniels' place. He finished the game with a pick-six and 63 yards on 4-of-10 passes.
McLaurin (quad) and Samuel (heel), who participated fully in practice on Thursday after missing four and one games, respectively, should be Mariota's top receivers.
Omarr Norman-Lott, a rookie defensive tackle, sustained a season-ending ACL tear against the Raiders on Tuesday, prompting Kansas City to place him on injured leave. Chiefs OT Josh Simmons (personal), guard Trey Smith (back), and RB Kareem Hunt (ankle/knee) did not practice Thursday.

HOLLYWOOD BROWN OVER 23.5 RECEIVING YARDS
This number opened at 21.5 and is up to 24.5 at some books. Brown has been consistently productive and has hit the Over on this line in 6 of the 7 Chiefs games this season. He is averaging 45.1 receiving yards per game, which is almost double tonight’s line. Washington gives up a ton of passing yards. The Commanders rank 26th in pass defense, allowing 238.3 yards per game. Last week, Washington allowed four Dallas receivers to go Over their receiving yards prop.
