COMMANDERS @ PACKERS 9/11/25
The Green Bay Packers will host the Washington Commanders on Thursday night in an attempt to build on their strong defensive performance in their opener. It was Micah Parsons' first game at Lambeau Field on Sunday as Green Bay defeated division rival Detroit, the reigning NFC North champion, 27–13.
Parsons was the center of attention both on and off the field after being acquired in a blockbuster trade with the Dallas Cowboys one week prior to the start of the regular season. The rest of Green Bay's defense was excellent against the Lions' potent offense, but Parsons recorded his first sack late in the fourth quarter.
Until the very last minute, Green Bay kept the Lions out of the end zone. Detroit only gained 246 yards overall, 46 of which came on the ground. The Packers had four sacks and nine tackles for loss. Jordan Love's two touchdown passes gave the Packers a 17-3 halftime lead, demonstrating how effective their offense was early on. Love completed 16 of 22 passes to 10 receivers for 188 yards. Of Green Bay's 78 yards on the ground, 66 were gained by Josh Jacobs.
In contrast to a typical week, the Packers conducted walkthroughs on Monday and Tuesday in order to get a look at the Commanders as soon as possible, per head coach Matt LaFleur. Guard Aaron Banks (ankle/groin), defensive end Brenton Cox Jr. (groin), cornerback Bo Melton (shoulder), and right tackle Zach Tom (oblique) were the four players who missed both days of practice due to injuries sustained in the season opener. Packer head coach Matt LaFleur said he would go all the way up to game time before determining whether Banks and Tom could play.
In a season-opening 21-6 victory, Washington's defense was equally impressive, keeping the New York Giants out of the end zone. The Giants were limited to 231 total yards and 4 of 16 third-down conversions by Washington's defense.
The Commanders' offense gained 432 yards. Jayden Daniels gained 68 yards on the ground and completed 19-of-30 passes for 233 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions. In his Commanders debut, Deebo Samuel rushed 19 yards for a touchdown on his lone try and had seven receptions for 77 yards. Washington ran for 220 yards and averaged 6.9 yards per carry, led by rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt, who carried 10 times for 82 yards, including a touchdown.
Quinn stated that Daniels' right wrist injury was noted on the injury report as a formality. He is not concerned about it. Punter Tress Way was a limited participant in Tuesday’s practice after not practicing on Monday. He has a back issue but is expected to play tonight.

DEEBO SAMUEL OVER 4.5 RECEPTIONS
Deebo had an immediate impact on the Commanders offense in Week 1, hauling in 7 catches for 77 yards. Last week, his receptions prop was set at 3.5. This week, it’s at 4.5. Samuel was targeted 10 times last week and you can bet that offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury will continue to work the ball to their playmaker. As good as Green Bay played last week, they still allowed Detroit QB Jared Goff to go 31-for-38. Jayden Daniels could easily do the same with at least five of those passes completed to Samuel.
