NBA: Jose Alvarado (Pelicans) OVER 19.5 PRA (pts, rebs, assts)
Good morning #PropNation! Since the Super Bowl free card we are 6-3 on free plays and have three more quality spots for you tonight in the NBA! For the first free play I want you guys to take Jose Alvarado of the Pelicans to go OVER 19.5 PRA. The Kings and Pelicans are in the 2nd night of a same-gym back to back. Zion Williamson almost never plays in a back-to-back so there should be more room to fill the sheet for the rest of the Pelicans starters. Alvarado has been playing a ton of minutes since Dejounte Murray went down and is out for the season. Last night Alvarado put up 18 points, 3 rebounds, and 9 assists in the loss to Sacramento. I expect more offensive production from the young Energizer bunny point guard. Look for Murphy III, Alvarado, and McCollum to each get up 15-20 shot attempts. You could take any of their lines and I like the play, but Alvarado has the most underlying non-public sharp value. Let’s cash this ticket by the 3rd quarter - Take Jose Alvarado OVER 19.5 PRA!
NBA: Jalen Green (Rockets) OVER 23.5 Points
Onto the second free play. I really like Jalen Green to lead the Rockets into the All-Star break with a big game and to go OVER 23.5 Points. Oddsmakers post Green’s line a couple points above his season average of 21.4 PPG and I love this. He’s been getting up a ridiculous amount of shot attempts lately, averaging 20.4 shot attempts/game. Last night he wasn’t very efficient with his 21 looks against the Suns but I expect him to perform better tonight. My favorite part about this play is the pure line functionality. Remember when I said oddsmakers put his line above his season average? They did this despite three abysmal scoring performances against Golden State this year. Green has put up just 7, 12, and 14 points in three matchups. This couldn’t be a stronger line put forth by the books. I hammer this type of functionality any time I see it and I want you guys to take advantage with us. Lock in Jalen Green OVER 23.5 Points!
NBA: Lauri Markkanen (Jazz) OVER 2.5 Made 3PT
For the last free prop I’m looking at the 3-point line and Lauri Markkanen for the Jazz. Markkanen has been absolutely fearless shooting the deep ball this season putting up a career-high 8.5 attempts per game. I really like his line tonight to go OVER 2.5 made 3PT. He’s averaging 3 made threes/game this season and is coming into tonight’s matchup confident. He went 6 for 10 from deep last night as he led the Jazz to a big win over the LA Lakers. When Markkanen shoots well, he almost always puts up a lot of attempts in the following game, usually 10+ three point attempts. I expect the same tonight against a Clippers defense that can protect the paint well. Zubac and company are more of an interior presence and I don’t see anyone stopping Markkanen from at least getting his deep shots off. Usually his 3-point line is heavily juiced or sitting at O/U 3.5 so tonight it’s a bargain. Lock in Lauri Markkanen OVER 2.5 Made 3PT!
