James Harden (Clippers) UNDER 23.5 Points
Starting things off in the NBA I want you guys to take James Harden of the Clippers to go UNDER 23.5 points tonight. If you’ve been following us Harden’s point total under has been one of our favorite plays this season and for good reason. Prior to his recent performances of 43 and 39 points, which will have the public drooling on the over here (even more reason I love the under), Harden had hit under 23.5 points in 12 of 14 games. That’s an 86% hit rate for an extended period and the only two covers were when he put up 24 points twice. The Clippers leading scorer, Norman Powell, is also back in the lineup after returning from injury which will take away from Harden’s ball dominance a bit. I love this as a contrarian play of the day with people backing Harden with his recent big games. I see him dishing the ball a ton in a game that could turn into a blowout against the Trailblazers. Look for him to be in the 15-20 point range. Take James Harden UNDER 23.5 points and let’s cash it again!
Cade Cunningham (Pistons) UNDER 8.5 Assists
For the 2nd prop tonight I want you guys to take Cade Cunningham of the Detroit Pistons to go UNDER 8.5 assists. This play has great line functionality with Cunningham averaging 9 assists/game this season. Oddsmakers post his line below his season average because they expect him to have a tougher time than usual against this hot Milwaukee Bucks defense which has won 5 straight games. This is the PERFECT spot to fade the public. Cunningham has gone over 8.5 assists in a ridiculous 11 straight games but he’s barely been going over and analytics show a projection of 7.5-8 tonight. Prior to this stretch he went under in 6 of 7 games and he also played in 3 overtime games which skew his stats a bit upward. The Bucks allow 8.4 assists/game to opposing point guards and I expect Cunningham to be looking for his own shot tonight when he gets an advantageous matchup. Do not be afraid to go against the trend here and be sharp with us. Take Cade Cunningham UNDER 8.5 assists!
NCAAB: Donnie Freeman (Syracuse) UNDER 10.5 Points
For the final free pick tonight we bounce over to college hoops where I want you guys to take Donnie Freeman (Syracuse) Under 10.5 Points. Freeman is coming off his best game in his young career, scoring 23 points and grabbing 12 boards! The highly touted 5-star freshman has Cuse fans excited about what Donnie can do for the Orange this year! He was dominant in the paint and flashed his ability to hit some fadeaway jumpers. Despite coming off this huge game, Donnie has gone under this number in 4/6 games this season. Syracuse has a huge step up in competition as they head to Knoxville to take on the 3rd ranked Tennessee Volunteers. Rick Barnes has himself an elite defense that ranks 2nd in the country in Adjusted Defensive Efficiency. The Volunteers only allow teams to shoot 40 percent inside the 3-point line, which ranks 6th in the country. Tennessee also plays a slow pace that will frustrate the Orange who like to get out and run. We are backing Tennessee’s stingy defense to frustrate the talented freshman.
