Garrett Nussmeier (LSU) OVER 287.5 Passing Yards
The LSU Tigers are coming off a bye week after a second half collapse against Texas A&M. Night game. Bama-LSU. Death Valley. Both teams are 6-2 and many believe this is an elimination game. Garrett Nussmeier is rolling this year, throwing for 328 yards per game this season. He has gone over this yardage total in 7/8 games. His issue has been taking care of the football recently, throwing 7 picks in the last 4 games. Alabama’s defense looked better last week, but that was against a struggling Brady Cook and his backup when he left the game with injury. This defense has not lived up to the Alabama Standard and they will be taking on one of the best receiving corps in the country. Even if Nuss throws a few interceptions, LSU will continue to sling the rock. Nuss has 50 pass attempts two of the last three games and LSU ranks 103rd in rushing yards per game. Rocco Becht (Iowa State) OVER 252.5 Passing Yards
Iowa State is coming off a tough home loss to Texas Tech last week and will be heading to Arrowhead to take on Kansas. The Cyclones are still very much in the CFP conversation, but will need to bounce back this week. Rocco has gone over this number the last 4 weeks and 6 out of 8 games this season. Jaylin Noel and Jayden Higgins lead the receivers combining for over 1,400 yards and 10 touchdowns. Kansas has an average pass defense, but really struggled against the better passing offenses they’ve faced this season. Look for Kansas to commit to stopping the run and Rocco Becht and company to take advantage downfield. The total is set for 50.5 and both teams have a tendency to get into shootouts. Buckle up, we are projecting a back and forth game where Rocco flies over 252.5 Passing Yards!
Ollie Gordon (Oklahoma State) OVER 69.5 Rushing Yards
Ollie Gordon and the Oklahoma State Cowboys have not lived up to the hype this season. Expectations were sky high after rushing for 1600 yards, 6.3 yards per carry, and 20 touchdowns last season. Gordon has struggled to get things going this year, only averaging 4.1 yards per carry. However, Gordon has gone over this number in 3 of the last 5 games. The Cowboys are taking on the 105th ranked TCU run defense that is allowing 190 rushing yards per game this season. TCU has the 30th best pass defense, only allowing 195 passing yards per game.
