NBA: Giannis Antetokounmpo (Bucks) OVER 30.5 Points
Last night quick recap we went 2-1 on free plays to go on a 5-1 overall free prop run while the VIP card went 8-3 for a big bounce back night! On New Year’s Eve we have a stacked sports day. For the first free play today I want you guys to take Giannis Antetokounmpo to go OVER 30.5 points. He hasn’t played since December 20th and it’s noted that he’s dealing with an illness but this doesn’t stop the Greek Freak. Antetokounmpo averages 32.7 PPG on the season and he attacks this Indiana defense. In his one matchup this season against the Pacers he racked up 37 points on 14 of 21 shooting. Look at last year for a larger sample size. Giannis averaged 42.2 points/game in 5 matchups against Indiana, including outputs of 54 and 64 points. They simply don’t have anyone to protect the rim from his onslaught outside of Myles Turner. And he has to often stick on the perimeter with Brook Lopez being a significant 3-point threat. Expect Milwaukee to spread the floor and allow Giannis to get downhill all game. He’ll get to the free throw line a ton and he could easily go for 40+ today in the NYE spotlight. Lock in this first winner: Take Giannis Antetokounmpo OVER 30.5 Points!
NBA: Evan Mobley (Cavaliers) OVER 27.5 PRA (pts, rebs, assts)
Onto the second free play and I like Evan Mobley of the Cavaliers to go OVER 27.5 PRA (pts, rebs, assts). The 4th year big man out of USC averages 30.1 PRA on the season and he’s really been putting up big numbers lately scoring the ball. He’s covered this line in 3 of his last 4 games and I think the Lakers are going to be focused on stopping Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland in the backcourt, freeing up some open looks for Mobley. In his one game against LA this year he had no trouble scoring the ball, going 12/16 from the field, putting up 25 points in just 19 minutes of tick. Tonight he should see his normal 30 minutes or so of playing time, which will give him plenty of ways to get to the number tonight. Lastly, Los Angeles ranks in the bottom half of the NBA in allowing opposing centers to put up fantasy points so the matchup bodes well. I like this one a lot. Lock in Evan Mobley OVER 30.5 PRA!
NCAAF: Semaj Morgan (Michigan) UNDER 28.5 Receiving Yards
For the third and final free prop we kick things off in the ReliaQuest Bowl where I want you guys to take Semaj Morgan of Michigan to Under 28.5 Receiving Yards. We have a rematch of the Classic Overtime Rose Bowl game from last season, but this one doesn’t have quite the same hype. Both Michigan and Alabama had down seasons and missed the CFP leading to many opt-outs. Michigan really struggled offensively this season, especially with their passing game. Michigan only passed for 133 yards per game this season (130th in the country) and their top 3 offensive weapons are not playing today. Semaj Morgan had huge expectations coming off an exciting freshman season, but he really was hurt by the lack of wide receiver talent. Now you take away projected first round pick Colston Loveland. Semaj has gone under this number in 8/9 games this season. The only time he went over was when he got some garbage time catches against Texas. Alabama’s Defense caught some flak for struggling in a few games this season, but the pass defense has been excellent only allowing 195 passing yards per game. As long as Semaj avoids getting garbage yards at the end, this is a really strong play. Lock up Semaj Morgan Under 28.5 Receiving Yards!
