NFL: Matthew Stafford OVER 241.5 Passing Yards
Happy Monday, #PropNation!! It’s just been an incredible start to 2025 for the VIP team, hitting at numbers I didn’t even think were possible. We dish out 3 free props as always and we start with the NFL playoffs. I’m going to back veteran Matthew Stafford in the passing game. Yes, the Rams will try to run the ball but Minnesota has been the best quick-start team in the NFL this season. So I anticipate LA playing from behind. That will lend itself to Stafford airing it out and distributing the ball. The line here tells you everything just like Mayfield’s did last night when we cashed. Stafford has only averaged 192 passing yards/game over the last 5 games. Yet, oddsmakers post his line well above this because of the matchup and anticipated gameplan. Minnesota ranks 28th in pass defense giving up 242 passing yards per game. Stafford will have to go for 250+ to try and keep up with the Vikings tonight. Take Matthew Stafford OVER 241.5 Passing Yards!
NBA: Austin Reaves (Lakers) OVER 31.5 PRA
For free play #2 I’m looking at the NBA and the Lakers very own Austin Reaves. He’s absolutely solidified himself as one of the better all-around players on the court night in and night out. Reaves is playing 35 mins/game and can fill the stat sheet in a plethora of ways. He’s averaging 18-4-6 on the season and lately his assists have increased drastically as he’s playing with the ball in-hand more frequently. I like his stat combo to go over tonight on the PRA line against a Spurs team that often plays in high scoring games, I don’t think Wemby’s rim protection will affect what Reaves does on the floor as much as it might Lebron or Anthony Davis. Reaves is averaging 37.7 PRA over his last 7 games and I think he easily clears the number tonight. Take Austin Reaves OVER 31.5 PRA!
NBA: Zach Edey (Grizzlies) OVER 6.5 Points
Onto the third and final free prop and I want you guys to take Zach Edey of the Grizzlies to go OVER 6.5 points tonight. The 7’4 rookie has been in and out of the lineup due to injuries, but he’s finally playing with more consistency to start 2025. Edey started last game against the Timberwolves and put up 8 pts, 9 rebs, and 2 assists in 20 minutes. I think he gets back to the playing time he had in December where he averaged 26 minutes/game and put up 11.5 pts/game while grabbing 10.5 rebs/game. My favorite part about backing Edey in a spot like this is he only had 4 points against the Rockets last Thursday so it’s a buy-low spot in the same matchup AND Morant and Bane are both playing healthily. He was limited in that game due to foul trouble and I think things go differently tonight. Ja and Bane can attack off the dribble and get Edey some easy looks as the recipient on the block. Lock this one in: Take Zach Edey OVER 6.5 Points!
