WOLVERINES @ TROJANS 10/11/25

The #15 Michigan Wolverines (4-1) and the USC Trojans square off in prime time tonight in the Big Ten. Last season, these teams faced off, with Michigan winning by three at home. After defeating Wisconsin 24–10 at home last week, the Wolverines failed to cover as 17.5-point favorites. Following a 34-32 road loss to Illinois as 6.5-point favorites, USC recently had a bye week.

With victories in their last three games, the Michigan Wolverines are gradually moving back up the rankings. Earlier in the season, they suffered an 11-point road loss to #18 Oklahoma in the second week of the season. The Wolverines have won both of their recent Big Ten games, first narrowly defeating Nebraska by three points on the road and then easily defeating Wisconsin at home last week. Bryce Underwood threw for 270 yards and a touchdown in the victory over the Badgers.

Underwood, a true freshman, has taken over this offense and is among the best young quarterbacks in the country. At 6-4 and 230 pounds, he has great size and is blessed with a strong arm. He has thrown for 1,0003 yards but only three touchdowns and one interception this season. Justice Haynes leads the ground game with 654 yards in five games. He has surpassed 100 yards in each game.

Donoven McCulley, who leads the team with 309 yards on 19 catches and one touchdown, is a big target on the outside. Semaj Morgan is a 5-10 junior with 187 yards and a touchdown. Keep an eye on the Michigan defense which has 15 sacks and seven interceptions thus far.

After their first loss and bye week, USC dropped out of the AP Top 25 rankings. USC defeated Purdue and Michigan State before losing to #23 Illinois, their first-ranked opponent. With Michigan here and #16 Notre Dame waiting next week, the Trojans have an opportunity to prove themselves.

Jayden Maiava passed for 364 yards and two touchdowns in their two-point defeat to Illinois. The 6-4 junior from Hawaii has a solid 11-1 TD-INT ratio to start the season. He has a 70.5 percent completion rate and has passed for 1,587 yards. USC’s best running back is junior Waymond Jordan, who ran for 157 yards in their victory over Michigan State and has 537 yards and five touchdowns to date.

Makai Lemon leads all receivers with 589 yards and five touchdowns in the first five games this season. He is on track to surpass his 764 receiving yards from last season. The USC defense has created some havoc for opposing offenses with 17 sacks and six interceptions. Safety Bishop Fitzgerald has three of those picks.

Michigan beat USC at home 27-24 last year as a 4-point underdog. The Trojans opened as a 1.5-point underdog in this game. That line has flipped and the Trojans are now the 2.5-point home favorite.

FREE PICK: GAME TOTAL OVER 55

This game total opened at 53.5 and moved all the way up to 56.5. Last year when these two played, the total was 44. The books are expecting something different tonight. You can actually buy this down to the key number of 55 for -138 at bet365. USC’s offense has been virtually unstoppable. The Trojans average 565 yards of offense and 48.4 points per game. Michigan is one of the better defenses in the nation, but they did give up over 300 yards passing (and 27 points) to Nebraska.
