BUCKS @ KINGS 3/22/25

With 13 games remaining, the Milwaukee Bucks, who are currently fifth in the Eastern Conference, have had a mixed road record. Tonight, the Bucks (39-30) take on the Sacramento Kings (35-34) in the fifth game of their season-long road trip.

Milwaukee defeated the struggling Los Angeles Lakers 118-89 on Thursday after losing to the Golden State Warriors 104-93 to start the trip. The Bucks took advantage of the fact that the Lakers were missing five of their top six scorers on the night, as Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 28 points and Gary Trent Jr. added 23. Guard Ryan Rollins, 22, provided a defensive spark for Milwaukee, which improved to 15-18 on the road this season. Rollins finished with 10 points, five rebounds, three steals, and a block.

Due to an injury to his right calf, star guard Damian Lillard will not play for Milwaukee tonight. Lillard did not play on Thursday night either. The Bucks defeated Sacramento 130-115 on January 14 and are aiming for a season sweep. With 33 points from Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee dominated the game.

Sacramento, which is starting a difficult three-game run that also includes the Boston Celtics and Oklahoma City Thunder, is currently ranked ninth in the Western Conference. The Kings fell to 2-1 on their seven-game homestand with a 128-116 loss to the Chicago Bulls on Thursday. Sacramento was outscored by 21 points in the second half, but Malik Monk led with 34 points. Chicago shot 52.3 percent from the field.

Without center Domantas Sabonis, who will be reevaluated next week after sustaining a sprained right ankle during Monday's victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento was outscored 60-48 in the paint.

The fact that guard DeMar DeRozan became the 27th player in NBA history to score 25,000 points was one positive aspect of the defeat. After finishing with 22 points, the 35-year-old DeRozan became one of the few active players to do so, joining LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, and Kevin Durant.
