ACC TOURNAMENT 2ND ROUND

NOTRE DAME vs. NORTH CAROLINA (UNC -8, 145.5)

North Carolina lost its final regular season game to Duke. It was no surprise, but it did come after a nice six-game winning streak for the Tar Heels. UNC beat six straight ACC teams that will not be going to the NCAA tournament. The Tar Heels went 5-1 ATS in those six games too.

Today, North Carolina will face another ACC team not headed to the NCAA tournament in Notre Dame. The Irish got here by surviving yesterday in a first-round game against Pitt. UNC and ND played each other way back in early January. North Carolina won that game 74-73. Since then, North Carolina has been a different team. The offense has really come alive. In that six-game win streak, the Tar Heels averaged over 90 points per game.

That offense is going to come alive again today. Notre Dame will not be able to keep up and the Tar Heels advance with a win and cover.

TRIOT LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

NAVY vs. AMERICAN (AMER -4.5, 131.5)

This is it. The winner of this game goes on to the Big Dance and is probably a No. 16 seed in the NCAA tournament. Navy has had a nice run to end its season. The Midshipmen are only 15-18 for the season, but they've won five straight. They also won both games against American during the regular season. The run ends tonight.

Matt Rogers is the best player in the Patriot League, averaging 17 points per game for American. He is not the only who can score either. All five American starters are capable of scoring in double figures on any given night. That's exactly what happened in the Patriot League semifinal win over Colgate - all five starters finished in double figures.

American is also a solid defensive team. The Eagles allow 67.9 points per game and held 3 of their last 5 opponents to 62 or fewer points. In a revenge game with a shot at the NCAA tourney on the line, I'll back the better team for the win.
