The Bulls still have a shot at the MAC title game. They should be able to continue their quest toward that goal with a win tonight. Ball State's defense is a mess. The Cardinals rank outside the top 100 in just about every defensive category you can think of. Ball State ranks 131st in passing yards allowed per game, 114th in rushing yards allowed per game, and 129th in scoring defense (39.5 ppg).

Buffalo likes to go fast on offense. The Bulls have scored 40-plus in 2 of their last 3 games. Their defense also has some issues. Buffalo gives up 31 points per game. The result has been six straight Overs for the Bulls. For Ball State, the bad defense has resulted in the Over going 7-1-1 in their nine games this season. Seven of the last 10 between these two have seen the Over cash. I like it again tonight.

These are 2 of the 4 teams in the MAC with 4-1 records right now. Bowling Green has been one of the favorites to play for a MAC title all season long. Western Michigan was rolling right along with three straight conference wins and then they ran into Northern Illinois last Wednesday night. The NIU defense held WMU to 179 passing yards.

Bowling Green's pass defense is second in the conference behind NIU. The Falcons should be able to give WMU QB Hayden Wolff fits tonight. While Western's offense is pretty good, the defense is not. The Broncos rank outside the top 100 in both Defensive Run and Pass Success Rate. They have given up 41 or more points in 3 of their last 5 games. All 5 of those games went Over the total.

Bowling Green's offense is led by the best QB in the MAC - Connor Bazelak. The best tight end in the country that you've never heard of is the Falcons' Harold Fannin. He has 73 catches for 1,033 yards. I like BG's offense to pound on the Western Michigan defense.

DUKE vs. KENTUCKY (DUKE -6.5, 160.5)

UNDER (1H) 77.5

It's the State Farm Champions Classic. No. 6 Duke against No. 19 Kentucky. Both teams are 2-0 with easy wins over inferior opponents. One common theme among the four games that these teams have played is a low-scoring first half compared to the second half. I would expect these two bluebloods to feel each other out early on.

Tonight's first half total is 77.5. Of the four games these teams have played this season, only one has gone Over that number and that first half landed at 78. Duke's last 13 games have all had a first half total Under 77.5. Don't forget, for all of the offense that these two teams can produce, Duke is 6th in Defensive Rating and Kentucky is 31st.
