A lot of these bowl games are about motivation. Who really wants to be here? Tulane lost its final regular season game to Memphis. Then, the Green Wave got smoked by Army in the American Athletic Conference championship game. After the title game, QB Darian Mensah decided to hit the transfer portal.
Florida started this season with head coach Billy Napier on the hot seat. Then, the Gators took Tennessee to overtime, Georgia into the second half, then beat LSU and Ole Miss, both of which were ranked. The Gators finished 7-5 and they covered the spread in 8 of their last 9 games. Florida played the fifth-toughest schedule in college football and it will pay off tonight.
INDIANA @ NOTRE DAME (ND -7, 52)

If you have followed Coach Rick and his Quick Picks, you might know that he knows Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti. Coach Rick played for and coached for his father, Frank, who is in the College Football Hall of Fame. Coach would love nothing more than to jump on the Hoosiers train, but he's not sure if Indiana can get this on done.
What Coach does like though is for Indiana to keep it close early. The Hoosiers have won every single first half this season except one. That was against Ohio State. In that game, Indiana handed the Buckeyes a late first-half touchdown and trailed 14-7 going into the second half. In every other first half, the Hoosiers led by at least 7 points. They are 11-1 against the first-half spread and Coach Rick likes Indiana to cover the first half spread tonight.

Both these teams have had a rough go lately, but Penn is the better basketball team. You can't win if you can't score and you can't score if you can't shoot. Rider is one of the worst shooting teams in the nation. They rank 311th in overall FG percentage and 353rd in 3PT FG percentage.
Rider is 0-6 SU and ATS in its last six games. They have won just 3 of 7 road games so far this season. Penn gets its done at home.
