WISCONSIN TEAM TOTAL UNDER 17.5
It's a Big Ten slugfest between two brutal offenses and two very good defenses. Both defenses allow less than 20 points per game and both rank in the top 10 against the run. That's significant because neither team throws the ball all that well.
Iowa could be without starting QB Mark Gronowski, who will be a game-time decision. The Iowa passing game ranks 125th in the nation. Our focus, though, is on Wisconsin which is down to its No. 3 quarterback, Hunter Simmons.
Simmons started last week against Michigan and did okay - 18-for-29, 177 yards, and a pick, but the Badgers offense once again sputtered. Wisconsin managed just 10 points. The Badgers have scored more than 17 points just once all season. They have gone Under 17.5 in 4 of their 5 games this season.
Getting to 18 against a very good Iowa defense is something Wisconsin has not done since 2021. They've scored 10, 6, and 10 points in the last three meetings. With the No. 3 quarterback, it's not happening tonight either.
