Cook is the nation's leading rusher with 1,581 yards this season. He averages 5.7 yards per carry and he's scored 15 touchdowns. Cook has rushed for over 100 yards in all but two games this season.
Over his last three games of the season, Cook has been pretty consistent with 132, 138, and 137 rushing yards. The game where he had 132 was the regular season game against Kennesaw State.
The Owls are not a great run defending team. They rank 100th in the nation in run defense, allowing right around 175 rushing yards per game. Over their last three games, Kennesaw State allowed 291, 191, and 252 rushing yards. The game against JSU was the game where they gave up 252.
Keep in mind, the Gamecocks also have QB Caden Creel, who has rushed for over 100 yards in eight straight games. Jacksonville State ranks third in the nation in rushing, averaging 262.3 yards per game. Even if Creel gets his share of yards, Cook will get his too.
