ST. FRANCIS (PA) @ LOUISIANA-MONROE (ULM -27.5, 46.5)
ULM -27.5
This line has been increasing since I played it yesterday at ULM -23.5. You can still get -27.5 at around -130, but I would caution playing it -28 or higher. With the total at 46.5, this probably won't be a high-scoring game. That means that ULM is going to do all the damage on the scoreboard.
If you saw my free pick reel, St. Francis is a small school in rural PA. I grew up not far from the campus. They've played Division I basketball for as long as I can remember. The Red Flash even made the NCAA basketball tournament last year. Football-wise, they've never been great, but the head coach, Chris Villarial, has been there for 15 years. He played at my college alma mater and then played 11 years in the NFL.
He's done a great job there with what he has. The Red Flash even made the FCS playoffs a couple years ago. However, after the NCAA tournament, the school announced that all athletics programs would be dropping to Division III beginning next year (2026-27). That, of course, sent a lot of football players into the transfer portal.
The bottom line is that tonight's matchup will be pretty much an FBS vs. a Division III team. If you can still find -27.5, play it. ULM was much improved last year. They went from 2-10 in 2023 to 5-7 last year and they led the Sun Belt in rushing. The Warhawks win. The question is when do they take their foot off the gas?
