Alabama was surprised last week by a resurgent Florida State. This is the perfect bounce-back spot. At home, against an inferior opponent like Louisiana-Monroe, expect the Crimson Tide offense to play much better and go Over its team total.
UL-Monroe head coach Bryant Vincent is doing a great job there. The Warhawks won their season opener against St. Francis (PA) 29-0. The Warhawks will continue to try and run the football. The problem is that this week they will be trying to run it against a far superior defense. That means plenty of 3-and-outs and possessions for the Tide.
While QB Ty Simpson and the Alabama struggled last week, Simpson was pretty much the only bright spot for the Tide. He went 23-for-43 for 254 yards. He'll play much better against a Group of 5 defense.
ULM is 1-6 in its last 7 games with the win over an FCS team. The Warhawks are 1-12 in their last 13 games on the road and the last time they visited Bryant-Denny Stadium in 2022, they got beat 63-7.
