New York will face Reds P Nick Lodolo who is 5-5 with a 3.71 ERA. Lodolo has given up a few homers this year. In 85 innings this season, he has allowed 11 home runs. Nine of those homers have come at Great American Ballpark.
The Yankees rank No. 2 in MLB (behind the LA Dodgers) in home runs this season with 118. Aaron Judge leads the team with 27 dingers and at Great American Ballpark, Judge has hit .324 with 3 homers in 41 plate appearances.
With another pitching injury to Ryan Yarbrough, the Yankees have called up Allan Winans to start tonight. Winans pitched for Atlanta for most of the past two seasons. He did not have great numbers, but he has been outstanding in Triple-A this season with a 7-0 record and a 0.90 ERA. Pitching at Great American Ballpark will be a challenge, but the Yankees should provide him with enough support against Lodolo and a below-average Reds bullpen.
