At some point, George Kirby will get back to his normal groove. In three big league seasons, he finished with ERAs of 3.39, 3.35, and 3.53 last year. He'll get there, but it's going to take a while. So far in 2025, Kirby has started two games. He only lasted 3.2 innings in the first, giving up 5 ER to the Astros.
In his second start, Kirby made it through five innings, but he gave up 6 ER to the Nationals in a 9-0 loss. That's 8 2/3 innings and 11 ER. That's not going to cut it, especially against a Baltimore team that could be turning a corner. The Orioles have won 6 of their last 8 games.
Gunnar Henderson hit .275 in May and started June with a 2-for-4 day on Sunday. He's 4-for-10 against Kirby with a homer in his career. Ryan O'Hearn (.329) and Jackson Holliday (.269) are both hitting well as of late.
T-Mobile Park is supposed to a more pitcher-friendly ballpark, but the Mariners allow 4.72 runs per game at home. That ranks 22nd in MLB. In the Mariners last 17 games at home, the Over has cashed 14 times. Baltimore gets to Kirby to take this prop Over 2.5.
