ROCKIES @ ANGELS 6/3/26
The Colorado Rockies and Los Angeles Angels continue their series tonight at Angel Stadium. After the Rockies secured an 8-2 victory yesterday, the betting markets are leaning toward the Angels to bounce back at home.
Tonight’s pitching matchup features Michael Lorenzen for the Rockies against Walbert Ureña for the Angels. Lorenzen brings a wealth of experience against this Angels roster, while Ureña is a fresh face with no career history against Colorado's hitters.
The Angels are currently favored at home, with their best odds sitting around -150. Despite yesterday's loss, the market expects a rebound. The Rockies are positioned as road underdogs with odds as high as +135. Colorado has shown they can handle this environment, but Lorenzen's history against key Angels bats suggests a tight contest.
RUN LINE & GAME TOTAL
The spread is set at Angels -1.5 (+144) and Rockies +1.5 (-150). Given the Rockies' offensive outburst yesterday, taking the runs with Colorado offers some security. The total is set at 8.5 runs. With a hitter-friendly park factor for home runs (107) at Angel Stadium and a relatively inexperienced pitcher on the mound for the Angels, the Over 8.5 (-110) is a strong consideration.
Plus, in the last 10 meetings between these two teams, they have averaged 10.9 total runs per game. The Over has cashed in 4 of the last 6 meetings and 7 of the last 8 when the two teams played in Los Angeles.
BEST PLAYER PROPS
Troy Johnston has been an absolute machine at the plate recently. He has recorded at least one hit in each of his last five games and in 9 of his last 10. His season hit rate stands at a robust 73.68%, and he has been even better against the Angels specifically, averaging 2.0 hits per game in their 2026 matchups.
Johnston is seeing the ball incredibly well right now. Facing Ureña, who has no prior experience against this Rockies lineup, gives Johnston a significant advantage as the pitcher navigates the order for the first time. Johnston Over 0.5 Hits is priced at -175.
Oswald Peraza is another Rockies bat that is currently scorching. He has hit safely in each of his last five games, averaging 1.6 hits in that span. While his season average is .280, his recent form suggests he is locked in. He has also maintained a 100% hit rate against the Angels in their two meetings this season.
Peraza faces Lorenzen tonight. While Lorenzen has a solid career K% of 21.7%, Peraza’s current momentum and ability to put the ball in play make this a high-probability prop. Peraza has been particularly effective as a visitor, hitting the Over 0.5 Hits prop in 55.56% of road games this season.
If you are looking for a "banker" for a parlay, Tyler Freeman is the choice. He has a 100% hit rate over his last five games and a 70% hit rate over the entire season. In his lone game against the Angels this year, he recorded a hit, continuing a trend of success against this opponent (50% hit rate in 2025).
Freeman’s consistency is his greatest asset. He is averaging nearly a hit per game on the season (0.93) and has shown he can produce regardless of the venue. Against an Angels pitching staff that struggled to contain Colorado yesterday, Freeman is in a prime position to keep his streak alive. You can get Freeman at 0ver 0.5 Hits at -200.
DON’T FORGET JO ADELL
While the props above focus on the Rockies' momentum, the Angels' Jo Adell is the clear statistical standout against Michael Lorenzen. Adell has dominated this matchup in the past, posting a .545 batting average (6-for-11) with 2 home runs and a massive .691 wOBA against Lorenzen.
Lorenzen has struggled with Adell's power, and with Angel Stadium's park factor for home runs being 7% above league average, Adell is a major threat tonight. The Angels will need this production to counter the Rockies' hot bats.
Angel Stadium is currently ranked 14th overall with a 100 Overall PF. However, it is notably hitter-friendly for Home Runs (107) and suppresses Strikeouts (95). This environment favors aggressive hitters like Johnston and Peraza, who are already in excellent form.

FREE PICK: ANGELS F5 ML
Urena just doesn’t give up many runs. He started six games in May and allowed more than 1 ER just once when he allowed 2 to Cleveland. For the month, Urena went 2-1 with a 1.64 ERA. Colorado is not horrible against RHP (15th in wOBA the last 30 days), but the Rockies have never faced Urena. That gives him the advantage early in this game. The Angels are actually a pretty profitable F5 ML team (top 10 most profitable) and Urena gives LA a huge advantage over Lorenzen. Lorenzen has an ERA of 7.22. In May, that number went up to 8.87 as he gave up 3, 5, 6, 2, and 7 ER in 23 innings. Plus, Lorenzen is one of the least profitable F5 ML pitchers in MLB. The Rockies are 1-8-3 in the F5 when he starts. If you tailed Colorado in the F5 when Lorenzen starts, you’d be down $695, making him the fourth-least profitable F5 ML pitcher in baseball.
