Philadelphia has won the first two games of this series and it's hard not to back them again with their ace, Zack Wheeler, on the mound. Wheeler is 9-5 with a 2.64 ERA and he's a strikeout machine. He's third in MLB with 182 strikeouts.
Wheeler is going up against a Rangers lineup that has struggled for much of the season offensively. Over their past four games, they've only scored a total of 7 runs. Yet, Texas has been markedly better since the All-Star break, especially at home. The Rangers are 12-4 in their last 16 games at Globe Life Field.
Patrick Corbin starts for the Rangers and he continues to pitch well. He has a 3.91 ERA for the season and he's coming off a July in which his ERA was 2.30 for the month. Corbin does not have the greatest numbers against Phillies hitters. Remember, he pitched in Washington before coming to Texas.
Still, Corbin is pitching at home where he is better this season - 3.44 ERA compared to 4.33 on the road. The Rangers are very good at home, 36-23 SU for the season and they are also 36-23 on the full-game run line at Globe Life Field this year. They have covered in 8 of their last 10 games and 16 of their last 20 overall.
