The Braves have won four straight games and 7 of their last 8. Now, Spencer Strider takes the mound for Atlanta. Do you trust him? It's getting harder to do so as he gave up 5 home runs and 13 earned runs in his last two starts. Even more troubling, the Braves have just two wins in his last eight trips to the mound.
Yoendrys Gomez starts for the White Sox. Who? Exactly. Gomez has just one start this season. It was last week against Detroit. He pitched 5 innings, allowed 1 ER and struck out 7 as Chicago beat the Tigers.
Gomez has spent the majority of this season coming out of the White Sox bullpen. His ERA for the season is 5.56, which is high for a reliever. It's hard to trust him too.
What I really like here though is Strider's earned run prop. You can get it at 1.5 and the Under is priced at -160 to -165. Strider has allowed 2 or more earned runs in 4 straight games and 8 of his last 9. For the season, he has gone Over this prop in 12 of his 16 starts. As bad as Chicago is, they can get two runs off of a guy who has allowed 13 earned runs in his last two starts.
