CHIEFS @ SEAHAWKS 10/25/26
Sunday Night Football from Lumen Field, and this is the best game on the Week 7 board. The undefeated Chiefs (5-0) roll into Seattle to face a 3-3 Seahawks team that's dropped two straight — yet the market has installed Seattle as a 3-point home favorite with the total sitting at 42.5. That's a fascinating number, because the efficiency metrics scream one thing while the situational and turnover angles scream another.
The line has been remarkably stable — the spread opened at Seattle -3 and has barely budged, with the consensus sitting at -3 (-102) on the Seahawks and +3 (-118) on the Chiefs. The total, though, has been bet down hard: it opened at 44.5 and has been hammered to 42.5, a two-point drop that tells you the market is leaning under. That move is worth noting, but it has created value on the other side.
🎯 Who Wins?
This is an underdog pick, but back Kansas City. The Chiefs are 5-0, they own the No. 2 total DVOA in the NFL at 29.1%, and they're catching plus money against a Seattle team that has been its own worst enemy.
The turnover math is the whole story. The common denominator in all three Seahawks losses this season is giveaways — 3 against Washington, 4 against San Francisco, and 3 against Denver. Sam Darnold has thrown seven interceptions in his last four games, which ranks second in the NFL, and he's been picked off in bunches. Meanwhile, the Chiefs have forced 9 turnovers and carry a +5 turnover differential, while Seattle sits at -1. In a game projected to be tight and low-scoring, the team that protects the ball and takes it away wins. That's Kansas City.
The efficiency gap is real. Kansas City's offense is third in DVOA at 23.8% and first in the league in yards per play at 6.94. They're also the No. 1 rushing offense in football, averaging 159.8 yards per game at a league-best 5.51 yards per carry. Seattle's defense is genuinely elite — No. 2 in DVOA at -21.3%, No. 1 in total yards allowed at 268.3 per game, and No. 1 in passing yards allowed at just 172.3 per game — but that defense is built to stop the pass, and the Chiefs' path to victory is on the ground. Seattle is 21st in carries allowed (27.3 per game) and 10th in rushing yards allowed (96.0 per game). Kansas City can run the ball right at them.
The situational edge belongs to KC. Seattle is on a short week after a Thursday night overtime loss to Denver, while the Chiefs are coming off a comfortable 22-6 win over the Chargers. Kansas City has had extra rest and preparation, and they're the healthier, more stable team. The Seahawks are also without lead back Zach Charbonnet (out), which further limits their ability to control the game on the ground.
The sharp money is split, but the moneyline leans Seattle — 58.68% of sharp money on the Seahawks moneyline versus 41.32% on the Chiefs. That's the one data point that gives me pause. But the ATS sharp split is essentially a coin flip (50.46% Chiefs, 49.54% Seahawks), and when a 5-0 team with a +5 turnover differential is catching +130 against a 3-3 team that turns the ball over for a living, I'll take the value on the dog.
The head-to-head history is thin — just one completed meeting in the sample, a 24-10 Chiefs win — but it reinforces the matchup: Kansas City has historically handled Seattle, and the Chiefs' defensive front matches up well against a Seattle offense that struggles to run the ball.
💰 Betting the Spread
If you want the safer version of my moneyline lean, this is it. The Chiefs at +3 means you win if they win outright, and you push if they lose by exactly a field goal. Given how tight this game projects — the total is 42.5, and both defenses rank top-10 in scoring — a three-point margin is very much in play.
The case is the same as the moneyline, with a cushion. Kansas City's +5 turnover differential against Seattle's -1 is the single biggest edge in this game. Darnold's seven interceptions over his last four games are a live liability against a Chiefs defense that has picked off five passes in five games and ranks 8th in interception rate. Every extra possession the Chiefs get is a possession the Seahawks don't.
The trenches favor KC on offense. The Chiefs' No. 1 rushing attack (159.8 YPG, 5.51 YPC) goes up against a Seattle run defense that's good but not elite — 10th in rushing yards allowed, 21st in carries allowed. Kansas City can move the chains on the ground and keep Darnold off the field. And with Rashee Rice out and Jaylon Moore out (concussion), the Chiefs will lean even harder on the run game, which is exactly where they're strongest.
The line value is there. The consensus is -3 (-102) on Seattle, but you can grab the Chiefs at +3 (-118) — a fair price for a team that's 5-0 and has the better turnover profile. The sharp ATS money is nearly dead even, which means the market isn't confident in Seattle covering. I'll take the points and the better team.
💲Best Player Props
💰 Kenneth Walker Over 80.5 Rushing Yards
Walker is now a Chief, and he's making his return to Seattle — the ultimate revenge game against the team that let him walk in free agency.
The volume is guaranteed. Walker has carried the ball at least 18 times in every game this season, and he's cleared this 80.5-yard line in 80% of his last five games (averaging a massive 133.0 yards) and 70% of his last 10 (112.6). The projection sits at 79.6, essentially right on the line, but the matchup and the narrative tilt this heavily toward the over.
The matchup is a dream. Walker leads the NFL with 665 rushing yards — more than the entire Seahawks offense has managed (643 yards) in one fewer game. He's averaging 6.3 yards per carry and has ripped off 117-plus yards in four of his five appearances. Seattle's run defense is solid (3.5 yards per carry allowed), but Walker has been matchup-proof all season, and the Chiefs' game plan will be to feed him early and often against his former team.
The revenge angle is real. Walker was the Super Bowl MVP in Seattle last season before signing with Kansas City. He's carrying a chip on his shoulder, and the Chiefs know it. Expect a heavy workload. At -108, you're getting near-even money on a back who's hit this in four of his last five.
💰 Kenneth Walker Over 18.5 Rushing Attempts
This is the natural companion to the rushing yards prop, and it's the cleanest volume bet on the board.
Walker is a true workhorse. He's cleared 18.5 carries in 80% of his last five games (averaging 21.2 attempts) and 70% of his last 10 (20.2). The projection sits at 19.43, comfortably above the line. The Chiefs have given him the ball at least 18 times on the ground in every single game this season — that's a floor, not a ceiling.
The game script amplifies it. With Rashee Rice out and the Chiefs facing a Seattle pass defense that's No. 1 in the league (172.3 passing yards allowed per game), Kansas City's path to victory is obvious: run the ball. Walker is the engine of that plan, and against his former team, the coaching staff will lean on him heavily. At -106, this is a high-probability anchor for any parlay.
💰 Kenneth Walker Over 103.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards
If you want to capture Walker's full workload — both on the ground and through the air — this is the play. Walker's combined yardage floor is high. He's cleared 103.5 rushing + receiving yards in 80% of his last five games (averaging 152.0 combined yards) and 80% of his last 10 (136.7). The projection sits at 109.28, above the line. He's a three-down back who catches passes out of the backfield, and the Chiefs will use him in both phases to attack a Seattle defense that's stronger against the pass than the run.
The revenge narrative adds juice. Walker has more rushing yards than the entire Seahawks offense this season, and he's the reigning Super Bowl MVP returning to the stadium where he won it. The Chiefs will feature him prominently. At -113, you're getting a fair price on a back who's hit this in four of his last five.
💰 Kenneth Walker Anytime Touchdown
The revenge game script points directly at the end zone. Walker has been a touchdown machine. He's scored in 80% of his last five games (averaging 1.6 touchdowns) and 60% of his last 10 (1.2). The projection sits at 0.7 touchdowns, and he's hit the over in 100% of his games as a visitor (averaging 2.0 touchdowns in those two games). He has eight total touchdowns on the season.
Seattle's defense has been vulnerable to running backs in the red zone. The Seahawks have allowed six total touchdowns to running backs this year, including five over the last three weeks. That's a leak in an otherwise elite defense, and Walker is exactly the back to exploit it. At -120, this is a strong play on a motivated back in a prime scoring spot.
💰 Patrick Mahomes Over 216.5 Passing Yards
This is a contrarian play against the game script, but the numbers back it. Mahomes has been consistently productive. He's cleared 216.5 passing yards in 80% of his last five games (averaging 261.8 yards), 70% of his last 10 (254.7), and 80% of his last 15 (263.8). The projection sits at 215.92, essentially right on the line, but his track record says he clears this more often than not.
The matchup is tougher than usual — Seattle allows just 172.3 passing yards per game, No. 1 in the NFL — but Mahomes is completing 66.5% of his passes for 1,309 yards and nine touchdowns with three interceptions. Even in a run-heavy game plan, he'll get his attempts, and his efficiency (8.28 yards per pass attempt, 4th in the league) means he doesn't need many throws to clear this number. At -111, this is a fair price on the best quarterback in football.
💰 Patrick Mahomes Over 35.5 Passing Attempts
This is a plus-money dart with real upside, and it's backed by a positive-EV signal. The volume could spike. Mahomes has averaged 31.6 pass attempts per game this season, but the game script could force him to throw more if Seattle's offense keeps pace. The projection sits at 35.5, and while he's only cleared this in 60% of his last five games, the plus-money price (+201) makes it worth a small play. The EV on this line is +9.17% at DraftKings, which is a strong signal.
The matchup creates opportunity. Seattle's defense is elite against the pass, but that also means the Chiefs may need to throw more to move the ball if the run game stalls. With Rashee Rice out, Mahomes will spread the ball around, and his attempt count could climb. At +201, you're getting a big price on a scenario that's very much in play.
💰 Jaxon Smith-Njigba Anytime Touchdown
If you're looking for a Seahawks prop to balance your card, JSN is the play. He's the clear No. 1 option in Seattle. Smith-Njigba has caught 49 of his 66 targets for 717 yards and seven scores this season, and he's been targeted at least eight times in five of his six games, including a 16-target game last time out. He's a matchup-proof receiver who gets volume regardless of coverage.
The touchdown rate is solid. He's scored in 60% of his last five games (averaging 1.2 touchdowns) and 60% of his last 10 (0.9). The projection sits at 0.52 touchdowns, and he's hit the over in 66.67% of his home games (averaging 0.67 touchdowns in three games). At +127, you're getting plus money on the Seahawks' best red-zone threat.
⚠️ A Note on the Total and Data Gaps
The total sits at 42.5, and the sharp money is dead even — 50% on the over, 50% on the under. The line has been bet down from 44.5, which suggests the market is leaning under, but I don't see a strong enough edge to recommend a side. Both defenses are top-10 in scoring, and the game projects as a tight, low-scoring affair, but I'm passing on the total.
One transparency note: a couple of the deeper research pulls — including some of the full article text and the fantasy prop lines — came back unavailable on this pass, so I've built these recommendations strictly on the confirmed odds, player form data, team efficiency metrics, and injury report. If you want me to circle back on any specific prop or the alternate lines once those refresh, just say the word.
🎯 The Bottom Line
This card is built around the Chiefs winning outright and Kenneth Walker dominating his revenge game. Chiefs +130 is the headliner, Chiefs +3 is the safer version, and the Walker rushing yards, attempts, combined yards, and touchdown props are the core of the card. Mahomes over 216.5 passing yards and JSN anytime touchdown round it out.
