DENVER @ TAMPA BAY (TB -6.5, 41)
BRONCOS +6.5
Denver is struggling. Tampa Bay is off to a 2-0 start. Bo Picks, aka Bo Nix, the Broncos rookie quarterback, was at it again last week. He threw a couple picks and now has four in two games. He does, however, have a pretty good coach in Sean Payton.
In Week 1 and 2 games in his NFL coaching career Payton is just 12-22 ATS. That record is the second-worst among approximately 130 coaches over the last 20 years. In Week 3 and 4 games, however, Payton is 22-9-1 ATS. That record is No. 1 among the same group of coaches.
This is a prime letdown spot for Tampa Bay. Plus, Baker Mayfield is just 15-26-1 ATS when he plays as the favorite. This will be Week 3's biggest surprise.
SAN FRANCISCO @ LA RAMS (SF -6.5, 43.5)
UNDER 43.5
There will be no Puka Nacua or Cooper Kupp for the Rams this week. Three of LA's starting offensive linemen are now on injured reserve. Even the Rams kicker is listed as questionable on this week's injury report.
For the Niners, there will be no McCaffrey, no Deebo, and as of yesterday, no George Kittle. Minus all of these weapons, I like the Under. I like it better at 45.5 where I got it earlier in the week. Seven of the last 10 games between these two teams have hit 45 or less. The Rams struggled to get to 10 points last week. You'll see more of the same today.
DETROIT @ ARIZONA (DET -3, 51.5)
LIONS -3
The Lions had issues in the red zone last week. They failed to convert on 6 of 7 red zone trips against Tampa Bay last Sunday. Detroit now ranks 27th in red zone offense. That will change today against an Arizona defense that gave up 34 points to Buffalo in Week 1.
Detroit has what is considered the best offensive line in the NFL. The Cardinals front seven is considered one of the worst. The Lions will bounce back from their loss to the Bucs last week. Arizona will come in overconfident after their 41-10 victory over the walking wounded LA Rams last week.
The Lions are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games. Detroit is also 5-1 ATS in their last six on the road and 4-1 ATS in their last five games against the Cardinals.
