THUNDER @ PACERS 6/13/25

There is no panic among the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Pacers are taking nothing for granted. The teams say they aren't making many changes to the strategies that have worked for them as they prepare for tonight’s Game 4 of the NBA Finals in Indianapolis.

The Pacers have a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series, a lead they have maintained throughout their four postseason series.

Guard Tyrese Haliburton stated following their Game 1 victory that the Pacers have flourished in that underdog role, which has motivated him and the team since last year.

This is the second time the Thunder have had to deal with such a deficit. In the second-round series against Denver in the Western Conference, they trailed after three games before winning in seven. Oklahoma City has yet to lose consecutive games in the playoffs and only suffered back-to-back losses twice in the regular season.

The league's MVP, Oklahoma City guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, stated that although it was challenging to draw direct comparisons between the circumstances from the series against the Nuggets, the team could learn from its response.

Haliburton claimed that a combination of stress and excitement has made it difficult for him to get much sleep during the Finals. In Indiana's 116-107 victory at home in Game 3, the fifth-year guard recorded his best performance of the series with 22 points, 11 assists, and nine rebounds.

After the Pacers shot 51.8 percent (44 of 85) from the field in Game 3, the Thunder are focused on reverting to their defensive identity, especially late in games. Indiana outscored Oklahoma City 67-43 in the fourth quarter in their two wins in the series.

Myles Turner is still battling an illness. He is not listed on the injury report. He had a crucial block and rebound in the Game 3 win on Wednesday.

Two of the three games in the series have gone Under the total. Interestingly, both of those games were the ones won by the Pacers. In the postseason this year, the Pacers are 13-6 ATS. The Thunder are 8-11 ATS.

TJ MCCONNELL OVER 7.5 POINTS

McConnell continues to fly under the radar, but he is the leader of the Pacers bench. He’s also very consistent. McConnell has gone Over this prop in all three NBA Finals games, scoring 10, 11, and 9 points. He’s also gone Over this number in 6 of his last 9 games, averaging 8.6 points per game over that stretch. McConnell is a solid shooter, hitting 54 percent from the field and 36 percent from three. He’s also better at home where he’s averaged 10.1 points per game in the Pacers’ nine home postseason games.
