All eyes are on Jordan Love this week, eyeing a potential return to the field after suffering a knee injury in the dying seconds of the Packers season opener in Brazil. In his absence, Malik Willis has fought valiantly, not only helping the team win back to back games, but putting on something of a show against his former team in Tennessee last time out.

If Love can go this weekend, he’ll get the keys back at 2-1, looking like one of the best coached teams in football.

While the defense’s stats don’t immediately blow you away, they do rank consistently in the top ten in every category against the run, while also only allowing a 28% third down conversion rate, good for 6th in the NFL.

But where the Packers are really winning right now, is in the turnover battle. They are the number one team in the NFL at taking the football away, averaging three takeaways a game so far this season. Their opponents turnover margin is -2.3 on average, again the best in the league, and free agency safety signing Xavier McKinney is leading the way.

The former Alabama star and New York Giants second round pick has an interception in all three games so far with his new team, picking off Will Levis, Anthony Richardson and Jalen Hurts to start the year.

Sam Darnold has been superb for the Vikings so far this season, but he has thrown two interceptions in the first three games. In a game that could come down to which offense cracks first, the turnover battle is going to be key in this one.

Brian Flores Minnesota defense has been the most impressive in the league so far this year, and it's not particularly close. They too are forcing turnovers, averaging two per game, but they’re also the most consistent unit in football through the first three games.

They allow 10 points per game (2nd in the NFL), one touchdown per game (2nd), 33% redzone scoring (3rd), and they rank in the top three in every single category against the opposition run game. With such an unpredictable and powerful defensive front, the Vikings first action seems to be taking away the run game, as they did against Houston at the weekend. Cam Akers had 21 yards in the game, leading the Texans rushers, and the Vikings held CJ Stroud and co. to just 7 points in the entire game. They will look to force Jordan Love to beat them through the air, and their secondary does allow some yards. You just have to be extremely quick with your decision making, and avoid making that fatal mistake.

Minnesota’s defense paired with the threat of Justin Jefferson and co. offensively has looked largely unstoppable so far this year, and they’ve already beaten two playoff teams in the 49ers and Texans. Next up, the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field, in a historic rivalry that is likely going to be one of the best games of the weekend.
