NBA: Naz Reid (Timberwolves) OVER 17.5 PRA (pts, rebs, asts)
It’s Thursday and as we slowly wrap up the work week it’s time to step things up!! We start things out in the NBA where the Timberwolves look to even the series in OKC. Almost all of Minnesota players had a bad Game 1 outside of Julius Randle. Tonight, I expect them to put up a better shooting performance and they will need some bench production. Reid and DiVincenzo were both AWFUL two nights ago, but Reid should knock down some shots tonight. If he gets another 28-30 minutes of tick, I love his PRA line tonight. He averaged 22.5 PRA on the season and was fairly aggressive in Game 1, getting up 11 shots. What I really love was his playing time and the fact he accumulated 12 rebounds & assists. He just narrowly missed this PRA line despite going 1 of 11 from the field. There is SO much room for improvement on the scoring front which is to be expected. Lock in Naz Reid OVER 17.5 PRA for a dub!!
NBA: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Thunder) OVER 31.5 Points
Onto the next free prop which is a look for the OKC Thunder. We successfully faded Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in Game 1 going UNDER 31.5 points and I’m going to try and correctly predict his point production every game of this series. Tonight, the over is now the value spot because he went under on Tuesday night despite shooting 27 times AND making 11 free throws. I saw SGA be aggressive all game even after he started just 2/13 from the field. He’s only going to get more efficient tonight and should be able to knock down at least 1-2 threes, after an 0/4 performance in Game 1. I have him going for 35+ points tonight, which is right on his season average against this Timberwolves team in 4 matchups. Look for Anthony Edwards and SGA to put on a show tonight - Take Shai Gilgeous-Alexander OVER 31.5 Points!
MLB: Ranger Suarez (Phillies) OVER 5.5 K's
For the third and final free prop we jump over to the MLB where I love Ranger Suarez’s strikeout line. Yes, it’s Coors Field and a pitcher’s nightmare but this Rockies lineup is a pitcher’s dream! They’ve won only 8 games this season and rank DEAD LAST in the major leagues in strikeouts, averaging 10 per game. Suarez has looked good in two of his three outings this season, going 7+ innings in his last two and striking out 5.7 hitters per game. My models have him projected for 6.4 K’s today which is a nice advantage on the line of 5.5. Lastly, it’s important to look at last season’s numbers despite lineups changing over. Suarez posted 9 strikeouts in his one start at Coors Field last year and 8 in his home start against the Rockies. This is a smash spot for a free play - Take Ranger Suarez OVER 5.5 K’s!
