NBA: Payton Pritchard (Celtics) OVER 12.5 Points
Last night we went 1-2 on free props with Plumlee losing by ½ a rebound. Bounce back night is one of my favorite things to do because we have extra pressure to lock in. Let’s tip things off as the Celtics visit the Denver Nuggets coming off a double digit loss to the Thunder. Boston looks to rebound on their West coast swing and I have a play I love. Coach Joe Mazzulla barely went to his bench against OKC and the 5 starters racked up way more minutes than usual. I feel that this hindered Boston down the stretch and I really think he looks to incorporate the likes of Payton Pritchard, Al Horford, and Sam Hauser more tonight. Pritchard has been one of the better 6th men in the NBA this season, averaging 15.2 PPG, 3.8 RPG, and 3.3 APG while hitting 42.4% from three. Pritchard was held scoreless for just the 2nd time all year and I expect a big bounce back game from him. He’s very aggressive offensively coming off the bench and gets up a ton of shots (11.1 field goal attempts/game this season). With his ability to knock down threes and score off the dribble I like him to go over his line tonight. Lastly, Denver is amongst the worst in the league at defending opposing point guards so the matchup is ideal too. Take Payton Pritchard OVER 12.5 Points for the first free winner!
NBA: Tyus Jones (Suns) OVER 4.5 Assists
On to the second free play where we look to Tyus Jones to produce for the Phoenix Suns. Jones actually had one of his worst games of the year last night putting up just 5 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists. Can you see a theme today? Projected bounce back games. I love Jones’ game as he’s SO unselfish and really opens the floor for everyone around him. His assist line has gotten deflated from recent performances to the point it’s one of the best value plays on the board, sitting at O/U 4.5 assists. Jones averages 6.2 APG on the season and he’s now facing the Hornets, a nice matchup for most offenses. Jones plays mostly with the starting 5 and averages 31 minutes/game on the year so I expect tons of opportunity for him to create for others. I feel Jones gets back to more of his play from earlier this season where he averaged 7.3 assists/game in the month of November. This is way too low of a line: Take Tyus Jones OVER 4.5 Assists!
NCAAB: Alex Condon (Florida) UNDER 9.5 Points
Super Tuesday has a LOADED college hoops slate and the biggest matchup of the night is when 14-0 Tennessee travels to Gainesville to take on the 13-1 Florida Gators! Both teams are extremely effective in very contrasting ways. Tennessee likes to suffocate you on the defensive end and slowly control the pace of the game, while Florida wants to blitz you and score as quickly and as often as they can! Typically, when there is a clash of styles, we meet somewhere in the middle. Alex Condon is averaging 10 points per game, but has gone under this number in 4 of the last 5 games! Tennessee has an excellent interior defense and they are only allowing opponents to shoot 24% from 3, which is Number 1 in the country. Alex Condon is averaging 10 points per game this season, but Tennessee is second best in the country in Adjusted Defensive Efficiency. Florida will find ways to score, but we are fading Alex Condon in this spot. Lock up Alex Condon Under 9.5 Points!
