NBA: Yves Missi (Pelicans) OVER 18.5 PRA (pts, rebs, assts)
Free plays continue to absolutely LIGHT IT UP!! 20-7 (74%) run and we hope to keep extending that tonight. We lock into the first value spot tonight in the NBA. I am backing the Pelicans rookie center Yves Missi to go OVER 18.5 PRA. Missi has had a really productive rookie campaign and is averaging 9.1 PPG, 8.2 RPG, and 1.4 APG. He’s been playing starters minutes since the beginning of December and will have a big role tonight against the Grizzlies. Zion Williamson is out and Memphis allows the 13th most fantasy points to opposing centers. In 32 games without Zion this season, Missi’s numbers climb in every stat category and he averages over 20 PRA per game. I expect a nice game for Missi, particularly with the Pelis backcourt finally being healthy and drawing attention. Lock and load: Take Yves Missi OVER 18.5 PRA!
NBA: Eric Gordon (76ers) UNDER 8.5 Points
With there only being 3 NBA games tonight I head to the matchup between the Cavaliers and 76ers for the 2nd free prop. This is a prop that the numbers have been encouraging for 5 games now and I’ve waited patiently for the right spot. Now is the time to hammer Eric Gordon of the Sixers to go UNDER 8.5 Points. He’s been scoring more than normal lately as he’s been forced into the starting lineup but the 36-year old veteran just isn’t what he used to be in terms of athleticism and 3-point shooting. Gordon is averaging just 6.3 PPG on the season and last game Nick Nurse only gave him 19 minutes of run in their blowout loss to Denver. Gordon has gone over this line in 5 of his last 6 games and it’s time to bet on regression. Analytics have him projected for 6 to 7 points tonight. I don’t see him scoring more than the 1-2 threes he might make. Take Eric Gordon UNDER 8.5 Points for the second dub!
NCAAB: Kam Jones (Marquette) OVER 19.5 Points
We move to college hoops for the final free prop where I want you guys to take Kam Jones (Marquette) Over 19.5 Points. Kam Jones and the Marquette Golden Eagles welcome the Villanova Wildcats Friday night and the Fiserv Forum should be rocking! The Wildcats have lost 3 of their last 4 games and Marquette will be looking to bounce back after a rare home loss to Xavier last weekend. The Golden Eagle offense goes as Kam Jones goes, as he is averaging 19.1 Points, 6.5 Assists, and 4.8 Rebounds per game. Taking over for Tyler Kolek this year has put the ball in Kam’s hands a lot more this year and he has thrived! Kam has been in a 3-point shooting slump to start Big East play, but he is a career 38% 3-point shooter and is too good to stay down. Against Seton Hall on Tuesday, Shaka Smart put an emphasis on getting Kam some catch and shoot threes and he was 4-6 from deep. This is a great matchup for Kam to build on this because Villanova ranks 300th in the country in 3-Point Defense (36%). What makes Kam special though is his ability to drive and finish at the rim.
