Fred VanVleet (Rockets) UNDER 18.5 Points
Last night we swept the free play board 3-0 and we have 3 more props for you tonight in the other two NBA Cup Quarterfinal games. To start it off I want you guys to look at Fred VanVleet of the Rockets. His point total line sits at O/U 18.5 and I like the under. We saw last night that defenses are locking down in these more important regular season games and these are 2 of the top 6 statistical defenses in the NBA. VanVleet averages 16 points/game on the season and things won’t be easy tonight against the Warriors. He just faced them last Thursday and was 5 for 16, totaling 13 points. In his other matchup with the Warriors this season he was even worse, putting up 11 points on 2 of 12 shooting on November 2nd. VanVleet’s offensive numbers are down across the board and he’s having his worst 3-point shooting season of his entire 9-year career. I expect Houston to spread the love and Sengun to dominate in the post. This should be a battle. Take Fred VanVleet UNDER 18.5 Points for the first winner!
Josh Hart (Knicks) UNDER 27 PRA (pts, rebs, assts)
For free play #2 I want you guys to take Josh Hart of the Knicks to go UNDER 27 PRA. Hart plays a critical role on the Knicks roster doing all the little things, but he comes into tonight’s matchup with a sprained ankle. He’s a dog from Villanova so I expect him to play but I really think he focuses on defense and distributing the ball tonight. New York has 4 starters that score more frequently than Hart and I expect them to all look for their shot constantly in a big game. He’s gone under this number the last 2 games and hit shot attempts are down so far in December. Expect that trend to continue as you watch tonight. My analytics like the value of his unders across the board and that’s why we go with the PRA line. Take Josh Hart UNDER 27 PRA!
2-Man Parlay: Draymond Green (Warriors) UNDER 1.5 Made 3PT & Clint Capela (Hawks) UNDER 1.5 Assists
Onto the last free play and it’s a quick 2-man parlay: I like Draymond Green of the Warriors to go UNDER 1.5 Made 3-pointers AND Clint Capela of the Hawks to go UNDER 1,5 Assists. Both of these lines are juiced and so they’re best bet in a 2-man parlay. Capela averages 1.4 assists/game on the season but I don’t expect him to log a ton of minutes tonight and he will likely be putting up his own shot close tot he rim or setting screens. He’s not great at finding the open man as a center. Green also averages 1.4 Made threes on the season but likely will be letting others get the big shots up tonight against a really solid Rockets defense. Houston is 5th in the NBA at shutting down opposing 3-point shooting and Green only made 1 in his sole matchup against Houston this season. Let’s cash this 2-man to close out the night.
