GRIZZLIES @ SPURS 11/18/25
When the San Antonio Spurs visit the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday, they will be missing at least one of their consecutive Rookie of the Year winners. The Spurs defeated struggling Sacramento 123-110 at home on Sunday to get back on the winning track. De'Aaron Fox led seven San Antonio players in double figures with 28 points and 11 assists against his old team, the Kings.
Victor Wembanyama, the 2024 NBA Rookie of the Year and standout center, missed his first game of the season due to soreness in his left calf, but the victory broke a two-game losing streak for the Spurs. Wembanyama will be shut down by San Antonio over the upcoming weeks. After missing 36 games due to deep vein thrombosis in his shoulder last season, he had started the Spurs' opening 12 games. He leads the Spurs with 26.2 points per game. He leads the league in both blocks (3.6 per game) and rebounds (12.9).
Due to a hip injury, Stephon Castle, the best rookie from the previous season, was sidelined for the second half of Sunday's victory. Averaging 17.3 points, 7.5 assists, and 5.8 rebounds while shooting almost 50% from the field—up from 42.8% in his rookie campaign—Castle has improved his game even further. Castle is now actually listed as out for tonight’s game.
Devin Vassell finished with 16 points on Sunday, while Harrison Barnes added 20 for San Antonio. The Spurs led for all but the first minute of play thanks to 14 points and 12 rebounds from Keldon Johnson, 13 points and 11 rebounds from Luke Kornet, 12 points and 12 rebounds from Julian Champagnie, and 11 points from Jeremy Sochan.
Tonights's game is the fourth of San Antonio's five-game homestand, which ends on Thursday with a matchup with Atlanta. After that, the Spurs will travel to Portland, Denver, Minnesota, Orlando, and Cleveland for seven of their next eight games.
Following their 108-100 loss to Cleveland on Saturday, the Grizzlies traveled to the Alamo City after losing their top point guard, Ja Morant, to a strain in his right calf. Morant, who participated in 12 of Memphis' first 14 games, will be assessed again in two weeks.
The Grizzlies' problems at the point were made worse by Morant's departure because Javon Small (toe), Ty Jerome (calf), and Scotty Pippen Jr. (toe) are all sidelined due to injury.
The Grizzlies had an 11-point lead but were outscored 32-16 in the fourth quarter, despite 26 points from Jaren Jackson Jr. and 12 points and 11 rebounds from Santi Aldama. Memphis has lost eight of its last nine games and four in a row.
Zach Edey finished his season debut with 13 points. Edey had surgery on his left ankle in June.

SANTI ALDAMA OVER 1.5 THREE-POINTERS
With all of the injuries for the Grizzlies, Aldama should see a few more minutes tonight. He’s playing 25.6 minutes per game already and is one of six Grizzlies averaging in double figures (12.6 ppg). He’s averaging 4.6 three-point attempts per game and he’s hit at least two in each of his last two games and three of his last five. San Antonio ranks 21st in the league in opponent made three-pointers (14.2) and they rank 23rd against Aldama’s position.
