We got an amazing matchup between two juggernauts on Saturday night between the #1 Ohio St Buckeyes and the #2 Indiana Hoosiers at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.  When doing a comparison of these elite squads, numerically you have to give a slight edge to Indiana.  Indiana has a +33 point differential outgaining opponents by 233 yards per game.  Ohio State has a +29 point differential outgaining opponents by 235 points per game.  Slight edge on the defensive side goes to Ohio State as they are ranked 1^st in opponent scoring, yards per game, points per play and yards per play.  Indiana defense is only a tick below Ohio State however as they are Top 5 in all the categories that I just mentioned.  Indiana has the edge on the offensive side of the ball as they are 3^rd in scoring, 9^th in yards per game, 4^th in points per play and 8^th in yards per play.  For Ohio State, they are ranked 17^th in scoring, 27^th in yards per game, 10^th in points per play and 17^th in yards per play.  Strength of schedule edge goes to Indiana as well as they have faced the 41^st toughest schedule vs Ohio State who faced the 58^th toughest schedule this season.  There is a revenge angle when looking at this game as Indiana lost to Ohio State 38-15 as 10.5 point road dogs and now one year later you have Indiana as a short underdog on a neutral site.  Motivation will be a key factor here in my opinion as Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti most likely wants to get back at the Buckeyes for the embarrassing loss they took to them last year and Indiana has not been in this game in decades.  Ohio State has bigger aspirations in my opinion as they are the reigning National Champs and will focus more on that than this game.  Also keep in mind that Ohio State won their “Super Bowl” last week when they beat their rival Michigan for the 1^st time since 2019 on their home turf.  Indiana should get it done here and win the Big 10 championship.
