NFL ODDS, NFL PREDICTIONS, NFL PREVIEWS

PACKERS @ BEARS 1/10/26
When the Green Bay Packers play the Chicago Bears in a wild-card round clash of NFC North rivals tonight, they hope that their strategy of resting a lot of their players will help them end a four-game losing streak. The Bears (11-6), the NFC's second seed under rookie coach Ben Johnson, will play No. 7 seed Green Bay (9-7-1) for the third time in six weeks.
Chicago is participating in the postseason for the first time since 2020. Since losing to Green Bay in the NFC Championship Game in 2010, the Bears have not won a postseason game.
"This was the vision from the beginning, to have some home playoff games at Soldier Field," Johnson stated on Tuesday. "And so, I was really excited about that opportunity and to see that come to light here this year."
Ironically, the Packers' last win came in Week 14, when Green Bay won the first encounter with Chicago at home 28–21. Two weeks later, the Bears overcame a 10-point deficit in the last five minutes of regulation time to win an unlikely 22-16 overtime victory and avoid the regular-season sweep.
With 24 seconds remaining in regulation, Chicago recovered an onside kick to set up Caleb Williams' 6-yard score. Malik Willis, the backup quarterback for the Packers, mishandled the snap on fourth and one during overtime. On the Bears' next possession, Williams then hit DJ Moore with a 46-yard touchdown throw.
In its final regular-season game, Green Bay suffered a 16-3 loss at Minnesota behind third-string quarterback Clayton Tune, who was released Tuesday. Green Bay rested nearly all of its important starters, including running back Josh Jacobs and quarterback Jordan Love.
Love will start on Saturday after fully practicing all week and without being included on the team's injury report. Love hasn't played since suffering a concussion in the second game against the Bears.
The opportunistic Bears led the NFL in takeaways (33, including 23 interceptions) and turnover differential (plus-22), despite Chicago allowing 361.8 yards per game, fourth in the league.
In addition to rushing for 388 yards, Williams has completed 58.1% of his throws for 3,942 yards, 27 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai, the Bears' running back combo, have ran for 1,087 and 783 yards, respectively.
Rome Odunze, a second-year wide receiver who missed the previous five games due to a foot injury, fully practiced on Friday and is listed as active for the game. Three Chicago players were absent for the whole week due to concussions: defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson, defensive lineman Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, and linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga.
Following their designation to return from injured reserve on Tuesday, offensive tackle Braxton Jones (knee) and cornerback Kyler Gordon (groin) are both considered questionable. Jones participated fully in practice every day of the week, whereas Gordon only practiced on Wednesday and Thursday before going all out on Friday.
Since losing longtime All-Pro edge rusher Micah Parsons, who suffered a season-ending knee injury during a Week 15 loss at Denver, the Packers' defense has struggled. Prior to the injury, Parsons had a team-high 12.5 sacks and was acquired in a blockbuster trade with Dallas shortly before the regular season began.
In his three seasons as the starting quarterback, Love has completed 66.3% of his throws for 225.4 yards per game, 23 touchdowns, six interceptions, and a passer rating of 101.2—the first time it has been above 100.
With 929 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 36 pass receptions, Jacobs leads Green Bay in rushing. On the ground, Emanuel Wilson contributed 496 yards.
Six Packers are classified as questionable for the game, including offensive tackle Zach Tom, who missed the last three regular-season games due to knee and back issues. Additionally doubtful are backup quarterback Malik Willis (right shoulder/hamstring), defensive lineman Warren Brinson (foot), linebacker Nick Niemann (pectoral), safety Javon Bullard (knee), and wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (concussion).

CALEB WILLIAMS OVER 18.5 COMPLETIONS
Williams has been the beneficiary of head coach Ben Johnson’s play-calling. Williams has been pretty consistent with at least 19 completions in 8 of his last 10 games and in 12 of 17 for the season. In the two games against Green Bay this year, he completed 19 in each game. The Packers pass defense is solid, but it’s more of a “bend don’t break” unit. Green Bay allows opponents to complete 65.6 percent of their passes, which ranks 22nd in the NFL. They also allow over 32 pass attempts per game.
