Auburn is your new No. 1-ranked basketball team in the country. After Tennessee's loss to Florida last week, the Tigers moved up to the top spot. Auburn is a solid defensive team and they rank first in the country in Adjusted Offensive Efficiency. They may have some issues on the offensive end tonight though.
The Tigers leading scorer Johnni Broome (17.9 ppg) will miss tonight's game and may miss a few more with a sprained ankle. That will surely affect the Auburn offense. What will really affect the Tigers tonight is Mississippi State's defense. The Bulldogs are one of the best defensive teams in the SEC.
e Bulldogs rank in the top 100 in scoring defense and they are a top 50 team in Adjusted Defensive Efficiency. Minus their loss to Kentucky last week (95-90), Mississippi State has allowed 66 points or less in 5 of its last 6 games. Five of the last seven Bulldogs' games have gone Under the total.

Miami is in a tailspin and they aren't getting out of it any time soon. The Hurricanes have just one win in their last 13 games. That win came against that basketball powerhouse known as ... wait for it ... Presbyterian!
The Hurricanes have lost all five of their conference games so far. They have lost their last four straight games (all in SEC play) and the 'Canes have given up 80 or more points in each of their last three.
Duke averages 80.4 points per game. The Blue Devils have won 10 straight and they have scored 86 or more in 3 of their last 4 games. These two teams played once last year and Duke went off for 84 points in an 84-55 win. This spread is a bit too big, so I'll play Duke's team total against a very suspect Miami defense.
