Oregon State had a pretty decent season in the West Coast Conference. The Beavers wound up 20-12 overall. It was the program's third 20-win season in the past 35 years. UCF struggled through the Big 12 schedule and wound up 17-16 overall.
Both offenses can put up some points. Oregon State actually ranks 23rd in Offensive Efficiency. UCF likes to play fast. The Knights rank fifth in the nation in Possessions per Game and they average over 77 points per game.
ven that both offenses can score, I think this total is a bit too high. Both teams will be missing several key players in this game. Oregon State won't have top scorer Michael Rataj. He averaged 16.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game for the Beavers this season. Parsa Fallah (12.8 ppg) and Nate Kingz (11.8 ppg) are also out. All three players entered the transfer portal.
UCF has seven players in the portal, including their best player - Keyshawn Hall. Hall also put his name in the NBA draft but didn't sign with an agent. He is a 6-7 guard who led the Big 12 in scoring at 18.8 points per game.
With all that firepower off the floor tonight, you have two head coaches that are going to have to reshuffle lineups. Neither team has played a game in over 20 days. That is going to lead to some sloppy play, especially early. That will keep this total Under tonight.
