Yoshinobu Yamamoto gets the start for the Dodgers and you have to like LA early tonight. Yamamoto has been nothing short of brilliant so far this season. He's 6-3 overall with a 1.97 ERA. In May, Yamamoto made five starts. He went 3-1 and the Dodgers won 4 of the 5 games.
Yamamoto has also been very good against the Yankees. He pitched seven scoreless innings in a 2-1 Dodgers win last June. Then, he pitched 6.1 innings in Game 2 of the World Series against the Yankees. He allowed just one earned run and Los Angeles won the game 4-2.
The Dodgers have absolutely crushed the Yankees in this series thus far - an 8-5 win on Friday in the series opener and a brutal 18-2 spanking last night as Max Muncy hit two three-run homers and has 7 RBI.
Ryan Yarbrough starts for the Yankees and he has pitched fairly well for New York. In each of his four starts, he's allowed 2 ER or less. Still, the Dodgers should be able to get to him for a few runs.
The Dodgers won the first two games of the series and the Yankees enter tonight with a bullpen advantage. Take the Dodgers and Yamamoto early and avoid any late-game Yankees' heroics.
