He has 105 strikeouts in 83.1 innings. His control has been outstanding. Skubal hasn't walked a batter in his last 23.2 innings pitched.
Skubal has faced the Orioles once this season. He pitched six innings, allowed just four hits and struck out 11 in a Detroit 7-0 spanking of the O's. Dean Kremer started that game for Baltimore. He lasted 5.2 innings and gave up 5 ER. Kremer walked four batters and now he must face the Tigers again tonight. Kremer is 5-6 with a 4.98 ERA for the season.
Kremer now has two career starts against Detriot. He is 0-2 and his ERA is rather ripe 8.44. Skubal has solid numbers against Baltimore's lineup. He has pitched 23.2 innings against Baltimore and he's 3-1 with a 1.54 ERA.
